b.t. brandenburg is an artist working in the field of the written word

whose autonomous writing process has levied a large and unique body of work

as well as founded aesthetic concepts based on this insular and ongoing process

 

born in gainesville, florida, b.t. brandenburg spent his childhood along the panama canal in central america,

attended high school amongst the defunct orange groves and converted cow pastures of the suburban sprawl of tampa bay, florida,

and graduated from a militaristic maritime school located along the long island sound of new york state

 

b.t. brandenburg has worked as a potato picker on the back of a farm combine in norfolk, england,

worked security, as a bouncer, for a dance and fight club in gainesville, florida,

as well as sailed around the world as a midshipman cadet on various merchant vessels

 

having taken up residence along the puget sound of washington state,

b.t. brandenburg has lived throughout the cities of seattle, tacoma, and olympia,

presently residing just outside of the evergreen state college

and continuing to work at the port of tacoma as a longshore union crane mechanic
